One key feature is „works without the need for silverlight plugin“, but if i start to view a video, it demands to install silverlight plugin :( 1 star

It is a bit of a pain to leave the application to do something else on the computer while watching a show. Need to fix this so that a user can watch a show at the time as work on other applications.

Contrary to the app’s description, it appears to require the Silverlight plugin. Unfortunately, the Silverlight “Install Now” button does not work. Also, the “detailed installation instructions” link does not work. Please refund $. Worthless app.

Netflix Ap does not work!

This ap is worthless. When you try to watch something it just says “Whoops something went wrong - an unexpected error has occurred."

For me at least, this dedicated app works much more reliably than when a movie or TV show has to fight with the idiosyncrasies of my browser. I haven’t had it too long, but I’m more than content so far.

I got this app because I was thrilled at the fact of watching any movies, any shows, anytime. This was an absolute lie. Fist of all, no reality tv. The wifi situation I understand, but how hard is it to include that in your selection? Second, you dont get every shows. I understand that you cant quite fit in the just and moment movies, but I find I also cant find a movie which came out two years ago. And Third, sometimes when I open this it is just a black screen. This occurs many times. What feeling after I used this app is that total waste of money. I really hope others will read this and not give you a dime for it because is not even worth that much.

the silver light installation thing doesn’t work the only reason i rated 3 stars is because i love this creator i just wish this app worked at all… my problem is i bought this app and it says you have to install silverlight to watch…this is weird to me but it was worthit so i just hit download. but then it does nothing. so i hit it again and it did nothing. so i right clicked it and i hit copy link text and i pasted it into google chrome and installed it successfully and when i try again it just says i need to install silverlight… ………………………………. like what.. another guy wrote a review saying this update fixed this problem so i dont understand why this problem is occurring but please fix cause i bought this.

I’m running a MacBook Pro (13-Inch, early 2011) with 2.Ghz Intel processor, an Intel HD 3000 512 MB graphics card and *16 GB* (that part is not stock), 1333MHz DDR3 RAM. OS X is currently el Capitan 10.11.6. Even with Yosemite, this app never worked consistently. When it did work, I liked it, but I found myself having to log out of Netflix, reboot, start Go for Netflix again, and log back in to Netflix in order for this app to work, because it would freeze up while playing any video, ususally after approximately 20 minutes. After this started happening, I made sure to close other applications when I used Go for Netflix, but this did not resolve the issue. I liked the idea of a standalone player for Netflix, so, 2 stars, but—lesson learned. I’ll not spend money on an app that lacks many good reviews.

fantastic app

the perfect app for using netflix, essential for power users. uses much less battery power as doesnt require sliverlight plugin. i recommend it!

I tried this app to watch netflix without using my browser and unfortunately, it doesn’t work. I tried to find the answer in the support area without success. It opens but I cannot seem to select anything—no movies or tv show, not even select myself as the specific user. Can I have my money back please?

I used it the day i bought it, but, since then, i have re-installed and re-started computer several times. however, no luck. it just spins with a red line int he middle of a white screen. the only way to get to watch it is to sign in and out every single time i change anything i look at.

When i try to play a movie from netflix it requests silverlight plug in, but doesnt allow it to be installed through the app. i can play netflix with silverlight on any browser just not this app. i’ve reinstalled both the app and silverlight in various sequences but it just plain doesn’t work.

Part of the allure of this appis that it clearly states that it works without the need for MS Silverlight, the reason that it doesnt work is because is states that Silverlight needs to be installed, and that I cant get any further without it being installed, and yet the install link for the app doesnt take you to, or download and install Silverlight, hence, app is worthless. Please refund my $3.99 immediately?

I wasted my time and money buying V1.0, and just wasted more of my time downloading and installing the V.1.1 update. The app looks good, the idea is great but it doesn’t work. When the app boots it offers a white page and an endless spinning (NetFlix) graphic that promises that NetFlix is loading……..but doesn’t. The only part of the window that works is the sign out link. Once signed out, click the home icon and it takes you to the sign-in page. E/m and password, click the “Remember me” button and it’ll actually take you to NetFlix home page. Select a program, quit the app at the end of the program, re-open the app and run the same crazy sign-out sign-in routine to get back in. It doesn’t remember the user. In the end it’s faster to access NetFlix the old fashioned way - via your browser and you still have a couple of bucks left in your pocket for a cup of coffee. Come on guys - get it together. Please.

This app simply doesn’t work. Every time I want to watch netflix with this app the only way i can do it is to “sign out”, go back to the Netflix home page, then sign in. It remembers nothing that i’ve watched or where i was in the story when a last watched a series. They were quick to take my money, but obviously haven’t done their homework. This is too typical of the “app” world: it’s basically 3-card monte: they show you one thing when you go to purchase but it’s a whole other deal when you’ve actually downloaded it.

Clean cut Netflix browser and player on my Mac. Looks and runs as a slick looking native product and with fullscreen functionality, it caters to all my Netflix needs. Saves me time having to go to a browser window, logging in and have that open as a separate tab/window.

I downloaded this app as i wanted a standalone netflix app for my mac. it is so much better than using a web browser. The BEST feature is the auto stop and start, which means your movie will automatically pause if you change to another app, such as your email client, and will resume again when you flick back to this app. Definitely a must have purchase for anyone who uses Netflix often!

I want my $ back, now….

This app just sits and spins…. It’s not at all what it claims to be. Please refund my $

dvandermolen · 10 years ago

Every time I open the App it just spins so I need to log out and then log back in. When watching a show, it works and looks great but when the show is over it won’t load the next episode…just get a white screen and have to log out and in again. A bit of a hassle every time!
